Position Overview
We are currently seeking a talented and dedicated Business Development Manager for Europe focused on the Commercial Real Estate (CRE) technology space to join our company. As a BDM, you will be responsible for demand creation, market development, pipeline building and sealing deals. You will have a relevant and active network and affinity with or have a background in engineering and a strong understanding of the sales process, excelling at generating and researching leads, starting new relationships, and understanding the benefits of our technology and how it can be applied to our customer’s challenges. You have the ability to showcase our revolutionary technology and what it can do in a compelling way.
Responsibilities
- Generate and qualify new business opportunities and coordinate the follow-up to close new business and grow existing customers.
- Coordinate activities with the product development, customer support and technical teams to drive growth.
- Manage customer evaluations & field testing with the field application engineers and develop supporting materials such as application notes.
- Assist in defining target segments and commercial product strategy by utilising the strengths of our revolutionary technology.
- Develop sales and account plans.
- Ensure smooth communication and transfer of information to sales, marketing and product development teams.
- Report to the Commercial Director based in the Netherlands.
Experience & Skills Required
- Must bring a relevant and active industry network of integrators and end-users of CRE Tech giving you a head start and a steady flow of leads.
- 3+ years of experience with customer-facing products/projects in a fast-paced, dynamic and demanding environment.
- Customer interaction experience as BDM, Program Manager, Tech Lead and the like.
- Track record with successful “integration projects” with customers.
- “Above & beyond” attitude.
- Desire to work bonus/commission based, on top of competitive base salary.
- Proficiency with CRM systems such as Pipedrive.
- Proven ability to generate and manage a sales pipeline from identifying prospects, initiating engagement, progressing to design-in and ultimately converting to design-wins.
- Experience in CRE Tech, IoT and technical consulting.
- Experience in at least one of the following sectors:
- 1. Office space/workspace
- 2. Senior care (experience w technologies, such as IT systems, nurse call systems, etc)
- 3. Hospitality
- 4. Safety & security
- 5. Sensors, cameras, or imaging products
