Job Description:

1. Develop electrical setup for characterizing GaN power FET reliability.
2. Design test setup to check the robustness of the GaN Power MOSFET.(For example: Converter design, Pulse Characterization, Resistive and Inductive Switching, Double Pulse Test, Surge rating test, Accelerated Testing to check the reliability of the device)
3. Develop automation codes to run the setups.
4. Analyze results and prepare technical report.

Education, Skill, and Experience:

MINIMUM:

1. BTech. / (Preferably) MTech. / Ph.D. degree with specialization in power electronics.
2. Clear understanding of converter design, working principle, hard and soft switching
3. Ability to program DSP kit.
4. Familiarity with circuit simulators (For example LT SPICE)
5. Hands-on familiarity with lab equipment (DSOs, multimeters, power supplies, temperature sensing, etc.)
6. Ability to work in a startup environment where roles and responsibilities often overlap and flexible.
7. Ability to prepare reports and present results and ideas to team members and external agencies.

Desirable:

1. Knowledge of PCB design and layouts.
2. Concept of programming: Basic understanding of programming. It is expected to have a good knowledge and skill in at least one basic programming language. For example: C, C++, Python, Java.
3. Datasheet review: Candidate should understand GaN POWER MOSFET Datasheet. Specially: Regarding RDS-ON, Transient Voltage, Surge Current and Voltage Ratings, Difference between Peak Current and Saturation Current, Safe Operating Area of Power MOSFET, Pulse V G -I D and Pulse V D -I D characteristics, how key parameters vary with temperature.
4. Soldering skill: Candidate should have basic skill of soldering.
