What’s Cool About This Job

WEKA has an exciting opportunity for an experienced and highly motivated Payroll Specialist, to join our growing Accounting Team. This role will report into the Sr. Accounting Manager and will be responsible for supporting our Payroll function.

Responsibilities include:

  • Maintaining confidential information by adhering to legal and ethical standards.
  • Working with cross-functional stakeholders to ensure benefits and payroll services are delivered.
  • Submitting timely payroll reports, including salary, expense reimbursement, commissions, bonuses, and on-call payments.
  • Monitoring and analyzing expenses against the payroll budget to help prepare cost forecasts and budgets.
  • Pays invoices by verifying transaction information, scheduling, preparing disbursements, and obtaining authorization of payment.
  • Responsible for approval workflows, by following accounting controls.
  • Resolves account discrepancies by investigating documentation, issuing stop payments and adjustments.
  • Obtains receivables by verifying transaction information, computing charges, and refunds, and preparing and mailing invoices.
  • Collects receivables by reminding delinquent accounts and notifying customers of insufficient payments.
  • Reconcile payroll, commissions, bonuses, AP and AR to the book of accounts

Desired Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in accounting, business, or a related field.
  • 3 or more years of experience in a Accounting related role.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Excel.
  • Experience with an ERP.
  • Netsuite Experience a plus.
  • Sequoia One PEO and Deel EOR experience a plus.
  • Expensify experience a plus
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

USA Residents Only: The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $85,000-$104,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Flexible Time off (FTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
