The Embedded Device Driver Engineer is responsible for the development of embedded OS software and Device Drivers for Alif’s MCU / MPU systems.
As a Software Engineer in the Platform Engineering team, you should have the ability to work and learn independently and have excellent Linux, kernel, and device driver understanding and hands-on experience. You will work with System Architecture and Hardware engineering teams to help evaluate IP blocks. You will develop software for the Linux kernel and for Yocto/OpenEmbedded Linux.
Qualifications
- 4 to 7 years of experience with Strong C Programming Skills
- Hands-on Experience with Linux Kernel Programming
- Sound knowledge on Linux Device Driver - I2C, SPI, SDHCI, USB, MIPI, UART, ETHERNET, I2S, I3C, ADC, DAC, Watch Dog, Camera, CAN
- ARM Architecture
- Embedded Linux
- Board Bring-up
- BSP - Board Support Package
- Knowledge of ARM-trusted firmware
- Debugging using JTAG - ULink-Pro, J-Link, Trace32/Lauterbach
- A high-level understanding of Operating systems (Processors, Caches, Memories, Buses, etc) and the Linux kernel is required.
Responsibilities
- Design, develop, and upstream Linux kernel, device driver Yocto/OpenEmbedded software for Alif chips.
- Engage with System Architecture, Hardware engineering, and other software engineering teams to design,
- Review and define features. Collaborate with teams in the US, Europe, and India
