Alveo Technologies is looking for a Senior Manufacturing Technician who will be responsible for contributing to the growth of the company by providing technical support to our contract manufacturing partners as they manufacture our novel diagnostic consumables and instruments in a class 10K cleanroom production environment. Responsibilities of this role include overseeing and assisting with equipment programming, setup, operation, adjustments, and preventative maintenance to ensure operational efficiency and superior product quality. Activities also include working with a team of scientists and engineers to devise, run and analyze manufacturing process experiments aimed at improving and optimizing process and product performance. This position has direct accountability for process quality and manufacturing productivity performance and will be a key participant in assisting with the sourcing, specification, implementation and qualification of new manufacturing equipment and processes.
You Will:
•Oversee and assist with the setup of both manual and automated process equipment and readiness checks for manufacturing process equipment.
•Perform operator and technician training and improve/update work instructions as needed.
•Assist with the IOQ process for new manufacturing process equipment.
•Collect and analyze data to support process engineering and R & D efforts.
•Assist with the specification and installation of new processes and new process equipment.
•Communicate and coordinate with Manufacturing, R&D, Supply Chain, Quality, etc. within the company to assure support for all related activities.
•Develop, monitor and modify manufacturing systems including operating procedures, reporting methods and continuous improvements.
•Help develop manual, semi-automated, and fully automated incoming and outgoing materials inspection and verification equipment, systems, and processes.
•Determine capacity requirements, identifies, and provides solutions for areas of improvement.
Your Background Should Include:
•Experience in pilot and volume production environment, preferably of medical devices, aerospace components, or some other regulated industry with exceptionally high quality and regulatory standards
•Strong verbal and written communication skills including the ability to read & write technical materials such as Manufacturing Process Instructions, equipment set-up procedures, and appropriate operational checklists.
•A track record of being a problem solver and an ability to visualize unique and creative solutions to challenging process and equipment challenges.
•Working understanding of basic electrical and mechanical systems
•Ability to read & write technical materials such as Manufacturing Process Instructions, equipment set-up procedures, and appropriate operational checklists.
•Excellent attention to detail and strong personal organization habits.
•Capable of working very independently and setting timetables and project schedules.
•Two-year Technical degree preferred plus 3 or more years of directly relevant experience.
Salary range for this position is $75,000 - $81,000 per year.
