Exostellar, Inc. is searching for a Head of Product who will be responsible for developing and directing our product development strategy, finding the key industries, customers, and workload profiles that can leverage our unique value proposition, to mold the future of how customers achieve cloud resource optimization.

Exotanium, a startup founded by two professors and one Ph.D. graduate from the Department of Computer Science at Cornell University, is a cloud resource optimization and management platform that uses virtualization technology and Machine Learning (ML) to help enterprises reduce spending in the cloud by up to 90%, while enhancing both operational security and performance. Our company has offices in Ithaca, NY, and Santa Clara, CA, and we also offer remote positions across the United States and Canada.

Key responsibilities:

  • Work with the Chief Executive Officer and other stakeholders to design, develop, and communicate a product vision based on business priorities and customer needs
  • Research industries and verticals that can take advantage of our unique value proposition and develop strategies to identify key customers
  • Assess existing and emerging products and companies to measure their potential value or threat to the company and its products, as well as make recommendations on which new technologies to invest in or leverage.
  • Develop and maintain product roadmaps that reflect nimble, iterative MVP approaches that meet strategic objectives and account for technical risks
  • Work with the CTO and VP, Engineering to manage development prioritization and requirements gathering
  • Facilitate the creation and maintenance of proper product documentation.
  • Evaluate promotional plans to ensure that they are consistent with product line strategy and that the message is effectively conveyed

Required Qualifications:

  • Extensive product management experience, managing technical software products from kick-off to shipping to maintenance. The ideal candidate will have significant leadership experience working in highly technical enterprise settings developing B2B products across varied industries, and extensive experience with cloud technologies and infrastructure level enterprise software.
  • Experience shipping enterprise products with great user experiences at scale
  • Experience leading products that require coordination of many stakeholders, cross-functional teams, and competing customer demands
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulations of customer problems
  • Significant experience with Linux-based systems and products
  • Growth mindset and a passion for learning
  • Can work effectively in a remote environment
