As a Public Sector Sales Director at SambaNova Systems, you will have the opportunity to develop and lead a Go To Market plan that will establish SambaNova within the Public Sector. This includes building a robust Partner Ecosystem, establishing SambaNova with key Industry Advisory groups, generating sales pipeline through a variety of channels, and managing the entire sales process to achieve quarterly revenue goals.

Responsibilities:

  • Align SambaNova’s solution to executive level customers’ business needs, challenges, and technical requirements
  • Engage and lead the resources, both internal and external, required to build market awareness, generate qualified pipeline, and establish forecastable revenue
  • Assist capture teams in identifying and qualifying opportunities using existing relationship and market intelligence
  • Build a solid operating cadence with SambaNova Leadership focused around pipeline, forecasting, deal review, sales execution, deployment and revenue realization.
  • Proactively and efficiently manage resources with dedicated teams, virtual teams, and executive staff around opportunities to ensure successful outcomes
  • Mentor and recruit Partners in complex enterprise sales campaigns with multiple prospect engagement points in Analytics, Development, IT Operations, and Security Operations
  • Execute on solution and value based selling to existing customer base and new prospects
  • Articulate and evangelize the vision and positioning of both the company and products, and secure strategic Public Sector commitments
  • Accurately forecast business on a quarterly cadence
  • Effectively and timely connect with management, legal and deal desk to ensure proper execution of documents and accurate process; and follow instructions or recommendations set by these teams and company management

Required Qualifications:

  • 10+ years of Public Sector Sales experience building qualified pipelines and exceeding annual targets
  • Experience leading and closing complex, highly technical, deals to large Public Sector accounts with both partner led and direct sell
  • Experience in advanced analytics, machine learning, AI use case development business models, along with proficiencies in concepts around cloud, security and infrastructure
  • Experience in recruiting, developing, and leading partner development and direct agency business
  • Experience creating and executing on quarterly and annual business plans
  • Proven experience selling next generation innovation into public sector accounts
  • Proven ability to align Public Sector stakeholders across highly matrixed government agencies
  • Strong ability to develop mission alignment with prospects, partners and customers, to develop alignment across different groups and cultivate champions
  • Expert level experience using sales and forecasting tools (SFDC, Clari, GovWin, LinkedIn Sales navigator, etc.)
  • Expert ability to articulate competitive positioning and messaging
  • Ability to travel up to 30%-50%
  • Must reside in the Washington DC area
