Job Overview:

We are seeking a detail-oriented RF Technician to join our dynamic team at Tagore Tech. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in screening devices, soldering components, testing RF circuits, collecting data, running experiments, and assembling customer boards. This role is crucial for ensuring our products meet the highest quality standards and align with customer specifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Assemble and test RF circuits and systems based on schematics, board layouts, and diagrams.
  • Perform precision soldering of components on printed circuit boards (PCBs) using a microscope as needed.
  • Assist in designing, constructing, testing, and debugging RF test equipment.
  • Set up, maintain, and calibrate RF test racks and benches.
  • Tune circuits to optimize performance and meet specific customer requirements.
  • Conduct characterization of RF products, including switches and amplifiers, using vector network analyzers (VNA).
  • Collect, filter, and document extensive data related to screening and testing processes.
  • Analyze measurements (e.g., S-parameters, insertion loss, return loss, stability, gain, noise figure) to ensure accuracy and precision.
  • Identify and assist in implementing methods for continuous quality improvement.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workspace in compliance with safety standards.

Skills:

  • Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering Technician or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Understanding of technical parameters such as S-parameters, insertion loss, return loss, stability, gain, and noise figure is a must.
  • Having good Soldering skills for small SMD components (0201) is a big plus.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) for effective communication and documentation, including the collection, filtering, and documentation of extensive data related to screening and testing processes.
  • Strong attention to detail and excellent fine motor skills for handling small components.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics and bills of materials (BOM).PCB layout experience is a plus.
  • Must know how to operate various laboratory test equipment.
  • Experience with test engineering and RF products, including switches, low-noise amplifiers, and high-power amplifiers, is highly desirable.
  • Analytical and problem-solving abilities with a collaborative mindset.
  • Self-starter who can work independently with minimal supervision.
  • Experience in semiconductor device testing is a plus.
