Assistant Controller

What’s Cool About This Job

The assistant controller will be part of the finance team reporting to the Director of Finance, responsible for managing the Israeli financial statements and monthly reporting and help reviewing financial statements and reporting of additional regions and consolidation. This role requires a strategic thinker with strong analytical skills, exceptional attention to detail.

Responsibilities include:

  • Month-End Close:
    • Reviewing the month-end close process, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting including revenue, commission, accruals etc.
    • Keeping organized and detailed working papers and supporting documentation for the all the GL impacts
    • Ensure compliance with accounting standards and internal controls.
  • Audited Financial statements:
    • Ensuring consolidated report is ready for the auditors on time (audited report is signed 3 months after year end)
    • Preparing Israeli statutory financial statement and tax report and working with the auditors to submit the report to the Israeli tax authorities
    • Working with UK auditors to prepare and report UK local tax report
  • Procurement process:
    • Reviewing the procurement process in our system (PayEm) to ensure POs are recorded and approved correctly and Bills are being match correctly to the PO

Desired Qualifications

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting
    • CPA

Experience:

  • Big 4 graduated
  • 2-4 years of experience after internship as an assistant controller or as a manager in one of the big 4
  • Proven experience in working on month-end close processes, accruals, and revenue
  • Skills:
    • Expertise in financial reporting and performance measurement.
    • Familiar with US GAAP
    • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
    • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and manage multiple priorities.
    • Great communication in English, both written and spoke
