The role:
Reporting to the Chief People & Culture Officer, you will join WEKA as our first Director, Total Rewards, to design, improve, support, and implement the current compensation infrastructure globally—to ensure we have best-in-class innovative compensation programs.
The position is located in Campbell, Bay Area.
What we're looking for:
- A minimum of 7 years compensation experience, with a strong advisory background
- Strong understanding of compensation industry best practices
- Experience with benefits plans globally
- Proven experience building compensation programs for a diverse workforce
- Prior experience utilizing compensation surveys/data analytics, quantitative analysis, and modeling for plan/program design and implementation
- Experience with project management and change management
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills, with the demonstrated ability to interpret complex data, identify trends, and use insights to make data-driven decisions.
- Experience with International Compensation
- Experience with Executive Compensation
- Discretion handling confidential information
- Demonstrated track record of proactive problem-solving
- Strong interpersonal skills with a natural ability to build relationships
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment dealing with change and continuously shifting requirements
- Demonstrated expertise in using Excel and Google Sheets to analyze large data sets (i.e. intermediate level for formulas, pivot tables, VLOOKUPs)
What you can expect:
- Play a lead role in the design, implementation, and administration of compensation programs to support WEKA’s business objectives and ensure that we attract, engage, and retain our talent.
- Manage all tasks related to the annual merit process for internal client groups from inception to completion, including data validation, benchmarking, internal parity analysis, training, and communication.
- Manage the equity merits and coordinate with HR Ops, Finance, and Legal teams to ensure seamless execution of equity grants for new hires and internal moves within the organization.
- Design modeling for equity merit programs in partnership with CHRO and CFO
- Design a unified compensation structure per function, globally
- Prepare market analysis and recommendations for any compensation adjustments.
- Research and analyze trends and best practices, and compile compensation data to assist in designing compensation programs.
- Lead the rollout/communication of changes to compensation programs
- Recommend process improvements and efficiencies within the department.
- Provide consultative support to HR Business Partners and Leaders and support all aspects of compensation, including market research, data analysis, process improvements, incentives, salary administration, and policy application.
- Develop external solid networks with compensation peers in other organizations/industries to share compensation information and exchange best practices.
USA Residents Only: The hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $180,000-225,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Flexible Time off (FTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
