About the Role

We are seeking an experienced, all-around DevOps engineer with a strong software programming background. The ideal candidate will bridge the gap between development and operations, implementing and managing our DevOps practices while leveraging their programming expertise to automate and optimize our systems.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, implement, and maintain CI/CD pipelines using modern DevOps tools and practices
  • Develop and maintain infrastructure as code using tools like Terraform or CloudFormation
  • Create and optimize automation scripts and tools using Python
  • Implement and manage containerization and orchestration technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Monitor system performance and implement improvements for scalability and reliability
  • Collaborate with development teams to improve code quality, testing, and deployment processes
  • Implement security best practices across our infrastructure and applications
  • Troubleshoot and resolve issues in development, testing, and production environments
  • Mentor junior team members and promote DevOps best practices across the organization

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field
  • 6+ years of experience in DevOps or Site Reliability Engineering roles
  • Strong programming skills with a focus on Python
  • Extensive experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)
  • Proficiency in version control systems, particularly Git
  • Experience with CI/CD tools (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, CircleCI)
  • Knowledge of infrastructure as code and configuration management tools (e.g., Terraform, Ansible)
  • Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
  • Understanding of networking concepts and protocols
  • Experience with monitoring and logging solutions (e.g., Prometheus, ELK stack)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with microservices architecture
  • Knowledge of additional programming languages (e.g., Go, Java, JavaScript)
  • Familiarity with database management and optimization
  • Experience with serverless technologies
  • Relevant certifications (e.g., AWS Certified DevOps Engineer, Certified Kubernetes Administrator)
  • Contributions to open-source projects
