Being “the k8s person” for the world’s fastest filesystem means that you have strong influence over how customers and the market will receive WEKA container services. Whether it’s running in k8s or Openshift, or just steering the next CSI enhancement, yours will be a reverberating voice for how WEKA meets container services in customer environments. Responsibilities include:
- Technical Evangelism: Ensure that the technical aspects of WEKA Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CSI integrations are well understood and effectively communicated to customers and internal teams.
- Hands-on Validation: Perform hands-on testing and validation of Kubernetes use cases, ensuring completeness of the product from a customer perspective.
- Competitive Analysis: Conduct comparative analyses against similar solutions, highlighting WEKA advantages in Kubernetes and OpenShift environments.
- Technical Content Development: Create technical collateral such as whitepapers, reference architectures, case studies, and presentations that showcase the product’s capabilities and value in containerized environments.
- Product Enablement: Work closely with sales, solutions architects, and partners to provide product training, technical demos, and proof-of-concept support.
- Customer Advocacy: Engage with customers to gather real-world feedback on WEKA Kubernetes and OpenShift integrations, influencing product development priorities.
- Competitive Positioning: Assist in developing technical messaging and positioning to differentiate WEKA solutions from competitors, including sizing guidance.
- Product Beta Management: Lead and manage beta programs for new Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CSI features, gathering detailed feedback from customers and partners.
- Field Engagement: Support sales engineers in resolving technical objections and ensuring successful deployments in Kubernetes and containerized environments.
- Event Participation: Represent WEKA at industry events, conferences, and meetups to showcase our Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CSI solutions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience as a Technical Marketing Engineer, Solutions Engineer, or similar role.
- Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, OpenShift, and CSI (Container Storage Interface). Must be proficient in deploying and managing containerized workloads in Kubernetes environments.
- Deep and demonstrable understanding of container orchestration and persistent volumes. This role is all about where containerization and storage meet.
- Experience contributing to architectures for Kubernetes-native applications with a focus on idiomatic usability.
- Familiarity with cloud-native storage solutions, CSI drivers, and related ecosystem tools.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to simplify complex technical concepts.
- Experience in developing technical content such as blogs, solution guides, and webinars.
It's nice if you have:
- Exposure to HPC and distributed storage system details.
- In-depth comprehension of typical system architectures, coupled with a clear ability to characterize capabilities and limitations.
- Capability to conduct thorough technical analyses, collaborating closely with PM and R&D teams to address concerns and anomalies.
- Experience with public cloud Kubernetes services (e.g., Amazon EKS, Google GKE, Azure AKS, Red Hat OpenShift).
- Understanding of DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, and infrastructure as code (IaC).
- Familiarity with Kubernetes networking, security, and observability tools.

USA Residents Only: The base salary hiring wage range for this position which the Company reasonably and in good faith expects to pay for the position in the specified geographic areas or locations, is $200,000-$280,000. Final compensation will be dependent on various factors relevant to the position and candidate such as geographical location, candidate qualifications, certifications, relevant job-related work experience, education, skillset and other relevant business and organizational factors, consistent with applicable law. In addition, the position may include some of the following comprehensive benefits such as Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, 401(K), Flexible Time off (FTO), sick time, leave of absence as per the FMLA and other relevant leave laws.
